I want a 22 page research project on the topic above. I’m adding abstract here. Only problem is I need it in next 8 hours.

ABSTRACT:

A successful construction project is the one that brings out the best quality, and better use of time and economic resources. For the success of a construction project the quality management should provide the project with the related tools, techniques and procedures in a effective manner. Quality management isn’t an external factor, but an integration of all operational and managerial processes of the construction project. Quality planning, quality assurance and quality control are the major parts of a quality management. The paper includes the outcome of research methodology decided by authors based on interviews of project participants and analysis of data.

When it comes to quality, the construction industry is quite behind the other industries. This industry has always suffered from instability, productivity issues and low standards. This paper is aimed at investigating the quality issues in construction environment. In order to determine the best way for quality management practice, data has been collected for solicitation of information from the participants in the project by quantitative research strategy and questionnaire survey. The questionnaire survey is going to be carried out across various companies in the USA. Various medium to large scale companies are taken into consideration for the collection of questionnaire samples for analysis. The results will be analyzed using SPSS and AHP software.

Draw the floor plan below in Revit. Include all doors and windows.
• Use the residential template. Fill in your name in the title block.
• Wall height are all 10’-0” tall.
• Please use some type of exterior wall when drawing.
• Exterior walls are 6”.
• Interior walls are standard 2 x 4 construction with ½” drywall on each side.
• Draw walls, doors and windows only. Toilets, sinks, cabinets are not required.
• Extra points if you draw a roof plan and I can see it when I use the 3D icon.
• You may select the sizes for the windows and doors.
You can consult your book for tips on how to draw the plan.

Extra Credit Opportunity SA Fall 2020

Due by Monday 12/7/2020 by 8am

WORTH 90PTS AND CAN ADD UP TO 10PTS TO YOUR OVERALL GRADE

1. This problem has two parts. Part a. is manual work and part b can be done on the computer using SAP2000.

a. Compute the reactions for the beam below. E and I are constant unless noted otherwise. The force method is to be used. Select RBy as the redundant. (Ans: RBy = 43.9 k) (10pts)

b. Model the beam shown and take E = 4000 ksi. For the middle 35 ft of the beam, set I equal to the values 200 in4, 600 in4, 1000 in4, 1400 in4, 1700 in4, 2000 in4, and 2300 in4 and find the reaction at B. Generate a plot of Imiddle/Iouter versus reaction at B. What happens to the reaction at B as the moment of inertia increases for the middle portion relative to the outer sections? Now, set the I for the entire length to be 1800 in4, set I for the entire beam to be 1000 in4, and find the reaction at B for both cases. What conclusion can you draw about the influence of I? (20pts)

2. This problem has two parts. Part a. is manual work and part b can be done on the computer using SAP2000.

a. Use the force method to find the value of the redundant force indicated for each truss. E is constant for all members. Find redundant NCD. Bar areas given in in2 are AD = 3, BD = 6, and CD = 4. (Ans: NCD = 12.93 k) (10pts)

b. Model the truss shown using SAP2000 and find the bar forces. Do this multiple times while changing the cross-sectional area of bar BD. Areas are given as (in2) 0.2, 0.5, 0.8, 1.0, 1.5, 2.0, 4.0, 6.0, 10.0, and 20.0. Create a plot of the cross-sectional area versus the force in bar BD. Create another plot of the cross-sectional area of BD versus the force in bar DC. Make an observation of the trend observed in both plots. (20pts)

3. This problem has two parts. Part a. is manual work and part b can be done on the computer using SAP2000.

a. Determine the vertical deflection at joint B and the rotation at joint C. I = 900 in4 and kR = 500,000 (k·in.)/rad. (Ans: ΔBy = 0.2289 in. ↓, θC = 0.00325 rad ↺) (10pts)

b. Model the beam of shown in SAP2000 and find the vertical displacement at point B. Change the rotational spring stiffness and repeat the analysis. Do the analysis for the following stiffness values (units of (k·in.)/rad): (500; 5000; 50,000; 500,000; and 5,000,000). Generate a plot of spring stiffness versus displacement. (Use a logarithmic scale for the plot of spring stiffness.) What impact does the spring stiffness play in the displacement? Is it a linear relationship? (20pts)

SOIL MECHANICS PROJECT

CMCE 2456 – Fall 2020

A homeowner want to level a rear yard. You visit the site and realize that the work will require the
construction of an about 5-ft-tall retaining wall. Your subsurface exploration indicates that the soil
in the yard is homogeneous medium to fine SAND with trace amounts of silt (USCS Classification
SP) to a depth of 25 ft below ground surface. N-values suggest that the material is classified as
NYC Building Code Class 3b material; groundwater was not encountered. Laboratory tests
indicate that the sand has a moist unit weight of 122 pcf and an angle of internal friction of 33°.

PROBLEM STATEMENT
Size the retaining wall such that it has a geotechnical factor of safety against sliding and
overturning of 1.5.

Assumptions
 Assume a vertical surcharge of 300 psf is applied on the high side of the wall.
 The wall foundation must bear 4 ft below the lowest grade for frost protection.
 The stem of the wall must be a minimum of 12-inches thick.
 The wall footing must be a minimum of 12-inches thick.
 Ultimate friction factor for mass concrete against clean fine to medium SAND is 0.4.
 Consider passive pressure in the analysis.
 Lateral pressures due to the surcharge have a uniform distribution based on a pressure
equal to 50 percent of the vertical pressure.
 Unit weight of reinforced concrete is 150 pcf.

Assignment
1) Produce an engineered-quality scaled drawing.
2) Include your calculations showing your assumptions, pressure diagrams and resultant
forces.
3) What is the applied bearing pressure under the wall?
4) Is the applied pressure less than the Building Code allowable?
5) If passive pressure is discounted, what is the resulting factors of safety?
6) Provide a cover letter with your submittal.

NOTE: Your calculation must be on engineering paper, they must be neat and without
scribbled corrections.
